Nigerian music sensation Spyro has reignited his conflict with music executive Ubi Franklin, addressing their financial disagreement in a series of Instagram posts.
The feud began when Spyro, during an interview on Echo Room, accused Ubi of owing him $5,000 for a performance he did in Ghana.
In response, Ubi denied the claim and alleged that the Afrobeats singer Spyro had refused to pay a 10 percent commission after facilitating a car purchase for him.
On Wednesday, the ‘Who Is Your Guy’ crooner, Spyro subtly fired back on Instagram by flaunting his success while mocking Ubi’s demand for a commission.
He wrote: “Franklin speaking. Sorry I mean, frankly speaking, God has been faithful without taking no 10 percent on his faithfulness”.
The comment appeared to emphasise that his achievements, which he credited to God, came freely and without any conditions, unlike Ubi’s claim for a percentage.
Spyro also used the opportunity to motivate upcoming artists, encouraging them to prioritise faith and integrity.
He wrote: “My brothers and sisters, especially to the young folks, these are evidence that serving God truly pays. You Didn’t have to do illegal to be this blessed, and this kind of riches comes with peace”.
