The dust has settled on Coachella 2025’s first weekend, but the reverberations from the fashion spectacle I’m sure most of us witnessed is only just beginning. As temperatures soared in Indio, California, (a whopping 100°C, according to TikTok Influencers), so did the sartorial stakes, with celebrities and influencers alike delivering a masterclass in desert-ready fits, 2014-2016 throwback fashion and Y2K nostalgia.

This year’s festival proved that Coachella style is no longer just about boho fringe and flower crowns (although a few of those were spotted) — it is now become a global runway where K-pop idols like Jennie redefine Western wear, Lady Gaga turns performance art into fashion (like she always does), and rising stars like Tyla resurrect the ’90s grunge wear with a modern twist.

But beyond the Instagram and TikTok hype, these looks offer real-world inspiration for those who seek it. Whether you’re craving ‘monochromatic cowgirl vibes’ (thank you, Jennie’s all-red snakeskin ensemble) or ‘minimalist desert elegance’ (see: Hailey Bieber’s black satin micro-dress), I’ve taken out the time to highlight the top trends and standout celebrities who made Coachella Weekend 1 unforgettable.

Let’s get into it shall we?

Some of the Best Fashion Seen From Weekend 1

1. Lady Gaga: Mistress of Mayhem Attire

Never one to conform to the mould, this star studded singer wore a baroque crimson gown with a 12-foot train, accessorized with gargoyle-shaped shoulder pieces and a caged crinoline (designed by Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli).

The Idea Behind It: Gaga’s outfit mirrored her Mayhem album themes—fame’s duality—with a “Mistress of Mayhem” persona battling her softer alter ego onstage .

2. Jennie (BLACKPINK): Cowgirl Core Reinvented

This very famous K-pop star wore a custom red cowboy inspired look. Her ensemble consisted of a crop top, cropped jacket and micro shorts of the same shade of red and made of snakeskin texture. She wore a matching cowboy hat to complete the ensemble. This look was a fan fave and was all her stand could talk about on TikTok.

3. Tyla in Desert Chic

The Push to Start singer performed at the 2025 Coachella festival for the second time in a row wearing ripped mesh tights, white top worn over a sparkly bra and a red and gold belt.

4. Victoria Monet in Cowboy Core

Victoria Monet and Megan Thee Stallion trended on various social media platforms this weekend, for a number of reasons but the one I’m sure we’re most interested in, is what the former wore. The On My Mama crooner wore a beaded bra top by PatBo, micro shorts and thigh high boots.

5. Victoria Justice in Western Fit

The Nickelodeon star and musician wore a matching leopard two-piece –micro shorts and bra (spot the trend?), underneath a leather vest. To further add to the  country-cool flair, she added knee-high boots, a bold belt, and a leather cowboy hat.

Top Trends Spotted from Coachella’s First Weekend

1. Western/ Cowgirl Aesthetic: This trend wa seen in so many celebrities and influencers

2. ‘Naked’ Dressing: Sheer lace gowns, skirts and tops along with fishnet clothing were seen almost as much as the western aesthetic this past weekend. Celebrities like Alex Consani, Anya Taylor-Joy and Emma Roberta were some of the stars seen sporting this look.

3. Gothic Wear: Lady Gaga’s goth fashion was a moment and some fans were spotted this weeknd following in her footsteps.
