Renowned Fuji musician Pasuma has addressed the public for the first time following a recent attack by thugs in Ikire, a prominent town in the Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.

The incident occurred last Sunday when the Fuji icon visited the town for a scheduled performance. A viral video that circulated on social media showed visible damage to his convoy, with a voice in the background exclaiming, “We have been attacked in Ikire. They carry guns and shoot us, see Pasuma’s car. But God dey.”

Amid the public concern and online speculation triggered by the video, Pasuma took the opportunity to clarify the situation during a recent live performance. He explained that while the event drew a massive crowd, the violence was not as severe as portrayed.

“About what happened in Ikire, I have many loyal fans in the town, but there’s no place without a few bad elements,” he said.

According to Pasuma, the crowd that gathered to see him far exceeded expectations. Although a screen was provided outside the venue for those unable to enter, many refused to stay outside and attempted to force their way in. When security stopped them, a few unruly individuals among the crowd began throwing stones.

“It was the stones that broke the windshields of my Hilux and Hummer bus. There was no shooting,” Pasuma clarified.

The singer’s remarks have helped to dispel the rumors of gun violence and reassure his fans that he is safe.
