Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has publicly addressed and debunked a viral quote circulating on social media, which falsely suggested that her beauty and the attention she received from admirers may have kept her from getting married.

The controversy began after popular media outlet Instablog9ja posted on X (formerly Twitter) a quote allegedly attributed to the actress. The post read: “I used to be the center of attention—admired, desired, and blessed with a beauty that opened doors. Yet, here I am… still unmarried. — Adunni Ade.”

The quote, accompanied by her photo, quickly went viral and sparked widespread reactions online.

In a swift and firm response, Adunni Ade took to the platform to refute the statement, clarifying that she never made such a comment.

She accused the outlet of fabricating the quote and using her name to drive engagement.

“I kindly request that you take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team,” she wrote. “I do not appreciate the fact that you’re using my name to peddle false news & articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”

The actress, a proud mother of two, emphasized that the quote had no basis in any interview or verified publication, warning of legal consequences if the post was not removed.
