Nigerian singer Naira Marley has taken to social media to express his thoughts on criticism, religion, and the often-overlooked issue of mental health in the country.

The Afrobeats artist warned that many of those who attack him online could face suffering beyond what they can imagine — not just while alive, but also after death.

“Most of y’all don’t even believe in God, you don’t believe in heaven and hell issokay. Most of y’all will suffer before u die, suffer when u die, suffer in d grave and suffer in the hereafter,” he wrote.

He also addressed those who dismiss spiritual beliefs, pointing out that their lack of faith would not protect them from the consequences he believes await them.

In the same thread, Naira Marley turned the spotlight on Nigeria’s mental health crisis. He expressed concern that many Nigerians are battling serious psychological conditions without knowing it, due to the lack of proper diagnosis and awareness.

“Shey dem dey diagnose people for this Nigeria sha? Plenty people get Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder + mad people everywhere,” he added.

His comments have sparked widespread conversation online, with some supporting his views on mental health and others questioning his spiritual warnings.
