Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has openly criticised the Dangote Group following the funeral of her sister, Ruth Itabor.
Phyna’s sister tragically lost her life in August after being involved in a severe accident in Edo State, where she was reportedly crushed by one of Dangote’s trucks.
During a live Instagram session, Phyna accused the company of possibly influencing the hospital to administer a lethal injection to her sister. She also condemned Dangote Group for failing to attend the burial and ignoring her attempts to reach them.
Though she admitted she could not secure justice for her sister, Phyna pledged to protect her children and threatened to take action against the company, even if it meant risking arrest.
Speaking on the matter, she said in part:
“My mind is telling me Dangote group and company told Lagoon hospital to inject my sister so she will die.
“If I calculate wetin my sister don chop from when she dey baby class to this Auchi Poly wey she just finished, wetin be 20 million Naira?
“I don’t know who made that negotiation since na then open their mouth ask. When I found out about the 20 million I was so pissed.
“Removing my sister from the mortuary I paid hundreds of thousands. Dangote I don’t do online ranting. I go say what I want to say, Una go arrest me tire. Before them burn like 15 of your trailer, you go carry me. Until my sister died before FRSC posted something, those clout chasers…”
Phyna’s remarks come amid ongoing public discussions about accountability and corporate responsibility following the tragic accident.
