In Abuja High Court has scheduled November 26 for the hearing of the assault and battery lawsuit filed against Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck.

The case was instituted by Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck of “violently assaulting and battering” him during a public event held on December 16, 2024.

According to Kraziecent, the rapper allegedly attacked him while he was “peacefully taking pictures and videos” of himself without any provocation. He further alleged that Odumodublvck’s conduct amounted to “assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress,” in addition to the destruction of his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi fixed the hearing date after the claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that the defendant had been duly served with all necessary legal documents but had yet to file any response.

“The hearing may not commence today because the defendant’s counsel, Sheriff Bello, has not responded. We, however, pray the court for a date,” Ojembe told the court.

In his response, Bello, who is representing Odumodublvck, requested an adjournment to enable him prepare adequately for the case, saying he needed time to “put my house in order.”

Kraziecent is seeking an order compelling the rapper to compensate him for his “damaged iPhone, public humiliation, and reputational harm.” He is also demanding a public apology to be published across Odumodublvck’s social media platforms and in at least two national newspapers. Additionally, he is asking for a perpetual injunction restraining the rapper from further harassment or harm.

Odumodublvck had earlier come under intense criticism on social media following the alleged assault, with many users condemning his actions and calling him out online.
