Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked concern over her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko after a video showing her in apparent distress circulated widely on social media on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
In the viral video, which has been widely shared on X, Regina appeared to hint at possible physical abuse. She is seen surrounded by a crowd amid a tense scene, shouting: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The clip also shows men who seem ready to intervene, with one holding a stick, suggesting a potentially heated confrontation. While those around her tried to calm her, the exact reason for the commotion remains unclear.
The footage has ignited widespread speculation online, with many users suggesting that the actress’s marriage may be in trouble.
Regina’s marriage to Nwoko has long attracted attention due to their 40-year age gap—she was 19 when they wed, while he was 59. Their union has also been scrutinized because of Nwoko’s polygamous lifestyle; he has six wives, with Regina as the youngest and sixth.
The incident comes shortly after Regina, who celebrated her birthday on October 10, shared a story about her ring:
“Guys! So, a quick story. I misplaced my ring months back, but y’all made it extremely noticeable to my husband by highlighting its absence.
“At first, he was hell-bent on not getting a new one because he thought it was one of my mischiefs. To cut the story short, he finally bought a new one, which is better than the old one!”
What was once seen as a playful post now contrasts sharply with the distress captured in the viral video.
Confirming the unrest, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman (Sammy West), expressed his anger and support for his sister on Instagram:
“Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood. Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you wan comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw.”
This controversy follows months after the senator publicly dismissed rumors that his wife had left him. In March, while celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko addressed speculation about their marriage, writing:
“Let them talk, let them guess. While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”
The rumors began in February when Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile and deleted several pictures of him. Upon returning to Instagram, she responded subtly to critics amid speculation about her marriage, posting a photo in front of a Ferrari with the caption:
“Don’t comment if you’ve never cried in a Ferrari before.”
