Nigerian music star Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has shared insights into how he deals with criticism and public scrutiny.
The ‘Wo’ hitmaker emphasized that criticism is an inevitable part of success and growth. According to him, the key to overcoming negativity is maintaining focus on one’s goals and staying committed to personal ambitions.

In a recent livestream with fans, Olamide highlighted the realities of being in the spotlight. “If you want to be successful or make it big in life, you have to accept that people will talk about you. Criticism is part of the journey—it’s on you to stay focused,” he said.
His remarks follow a recent backlash over his claim that Wizkid is the “greatest Afrobeats artist after Fela.” The statement drew criticism from some fans of Burna Boy and Davido, who disagreed with his opinion.
Responding to the reactions, Olamide clarified that his comment was purely personal and stressed that no one should let others’ opinions define their worth or achievements.
