Nigerian actor, comedian, and activist Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has denied a viral social media allegation accusing him of raping a minor.
The claim originated from an X user identified as Lukurawa16703, who alleged that the activist “actually raped a 17-year-old girl and used police to oppress her family.”
The user made the accusation while reposting Mr Macaroni’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration over worsening insecurity.

Responding to the post, Mr Macaroni condemned the allegation, describing it as both “horrendous and distasteful.” He explained that he chose to address it publicly because of the gravity of the claim.
The comedian further suggested that the accuser was a supporter of President Tinubu and the ruling APC, insisting that the allegation was nothing more than political “propaganda” aimed at discrediting him for speaking against the government.
He also announced plans to pursue legal action against the individual behind the account and requested any useful information that could help in identifying the person.
Reaffirming his stance, Mr Macaroni stated: “This tweet also serves as an opportunity to strongly refute this ridiculous accusation and any other kind from the infested supporters of the APC because I expect their disease to continue to spread as I won’t stop criticizing this abomination of a government!”
