Pop superstar Rihanna experienced a tense security scare on Sunday after gunshots were fired at her luxury residence in Los Angeles, United States.
Reports from U.S. media indicate that the incident happened shortly after 1 p.m. in the upscale Beverly Hills neighbourhood. A woman allegedly opened fire from a vehicle parked across the street from the singer’s property, discharging multiple rounds toward the home.
Authorities said roughly 10 shots were fired during the incident. One of the bullets reportedly penetrated a wall of the mansion.
At the time of the shooting, Rihanna was believed to be inside the house with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children.

Police quickly responded to the scene and later apprehended a female suspect believed to be in her 30s, a short distance away. Officers also recovered a firearm during the arrest.
Investigators have not yet determined what may have prompted the attack, and the case remains under investigation.
