Popular Nigerian streamer and TikTok personality Peller has decided to proceed with his nationwide tour, shortly after announcing that he was calling it off.
The influencer had earlier planned a 20-state tour across Nigeria, which began on March 6, with scheduled visits to several states, including Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Kogi, Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Borno, Edo, Rivers, Imo, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Enugu, Niger, and Ebonyi.
During a live session on TikTok, Peller initially declared that he was ending the tour due to what he described as negative reactions from people in different locations.
“I am ending my tour. I am not doing the tour again. I am the one who said I wanted to do a tour and it is still me who is saying that it has come to an end,” he said.
“I am not doing again, I have put my hands up. You people do not like me, you are not good people. Any state I enter, you people would say I do not deserve to be welcomed like that. Why? What did I do?”
However, in a swift turnaround, he later announced that the tour would continue. Speaking from Ebonyi State during another live broadcast, Peller said stopping the tour was no longer possible.
“You people should not be angry but I would not be able to end my tour, I cannot. We are live in Ebonyi state. See the beautiful city,” he said.
The development comes at a time when the influencer is dealing with multiple controversies. He is currently facing a lawsuit filed by Osarobo Osarenoma Odigie, who is demanding N395 million in damages over allegations of defamation, cyber harassment, and invasion of privacy.
In addition, the Benin Traditional Council has summoned him to appear before a panel over what it described as an unauthorised visit to the palace.
