Amidst reports and claims that reality star and business mogul, Kim Kardashian ruined one of Marilyn Monroe’s legendary dresses when she wore it to the 2022 Met Gala, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! the official owner of the dress has come out to refute the allegations. The company, Ripley’s has spoken up, saying that Kim did not damage the legendary dress.

However, in a statement the company released recently, the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Gallery stood by its bold choice to lend Marilyn’s gown to Kim, which the reality star wore to take pictures on the Met’s red carpet after which it was reported that she changed to a lookalike gown soon after. Ripley’s has affirmed that the damage to the legendary gown was not in any way Kim Kardashian’s fault.

Kim Kardashian has earlier on, confessed to struggling to fit into the gown and that she lost 16 pounds in under three weeks for the sole reason of fitting into the iconic gown. She had further confessed to thinking that the late actress Marilyn Monroe was very curvy before the fitting.  The KKW beauty founder had stated that she has been very respectful to the gown and its influence on the American Culture and that was why she had to practice climbing stairs so as not to risk ruining the dress.

However, irrespective of all these, Kim Kardashian has been severely criticized for daring to put on the dress at all.
