The former Arsenal young and promising talent, O. Arthur, has once more been included in the latest Nigeria team list for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification series against both Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar.

Arthur made his debut for Nigeria during May’s Unity Cup tournament, playing the entirety of a 2-0 semi-final success over Zimbabwe and a clean sheet in the final with a 3-0 triumph over Jamaica.
Okonkwo must now challenge fellow invitees Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye for the Nigeria number one role while looking to continue his club form and press his claim for a place, after his summer switch from Wrexham to League One English side Charlton, where he has featured on four occasions.
The Super Eagles open the qualifiers against Madagascar on September 25th before another encounter with Guinea-Bissau just 4 days later.
