Nigeria have suffered a huge blow to their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign after they were beaten 3-0 by Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday evening.
The Djurtus achieved their highest victory over Nigeria and took first place in Group L thanks to goals from Franculino Dju, Mama Balde and Alvaro Djalo.
Chelle made three changes to his starting XI with Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Guinea-Bissau got the lead a minute later, with Franculino receiving the ball from the left, before he cut inside and curled a lovely shot past Stanley Nwabali.
Chelle brought on Moses Usor and Moses Simon at half-time but Nigeria hardly created any chances.
Balde then doubled the host lead in the 66th minute after beating Osayi-Samuel before finishing beautifully
Tolu Arokodare and George Ilenikhena were denied opportunities to reduce the deficit before Djalo sealed the win deep into stoppage time.
The result means Guinea-Bissau take maximum points in Group L with six, while Nigeria stay second on three points with a -2 goal difference.
Tanzania having already clinched a spot as co-hosts, Nigeria are under the cosh to qualify from the group.
