Chelsea finally got back to winning ways in style by hammering Bournemouth 5-1 at Stamford Bridge and adding to Jordan Henderson’s brace with his first goals for the club to make it five league games without defeat at home.
Henderson struck after just 64 seconds, sending a first-time shot into the net after a brilliant run and pass from Cole Palmer.
Minutes on, Morgan Rogers stretched Chelsea’s lead by curling a shot round former Chelsea ‘keeper Djordje Petrovic.
Before the break, Bournemouth created opportunities, but it was another good save by Emiliano Martinez to prevent Rayan from finding the net and maintain Chelsea’s two-goal advantage.
Almost immediately after the interval, Chelsea doubled their lead with Joao Pedro converting a low cross from Pedro Neto into the roof of the net.

The visitors replied for a moment, through Evanilson, who turned the ball away that Moises Caicedo tried to clear the ball from the side of the goal, also in their favor.
Nevertheless, Joao Pedro grabbed his second of the afternoon to end Chelsea’s three-goal lead, after finishing off a pass from Pep Chavarria, before Henderson doubled his tally with a strike from a set-piece.
The win marked Chelsea’s first points in three games and temporarily moved them up to fifth.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth’s search for a first league victory under Marco Rose continued, leaving them with three draws and three defeats in six matches under the manager.
