Mr. Ali Sule, the Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps -FRSC, Katsina has said that the Safety corps mobile court will commence trying any underage child caught driving in the state.

Mr. Ali Sule disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria -NAN on Sunday, 10 July in Katsina.

He said:

“The agency will view the act as a serious offense to see any underage child driving on high ways in the state. If we catch any underage person, we will hand him or her over to mobile court to be prosecuted,” he disclosed.

The commander then went on to advise parents to desist from allowing their children to drive cars on highways. Meanwhile, the commander urged drivers to ensure the perfect condition of their various vehicles during rainy seasons.

According to him, they should ensure that their respective wipers, tires, and lightning were all in perfect conditions to ensure proper visibility in the rainy season. Mr. Sule also urged them to stick to the stipulated speed limit while driving.
