It turns out that not everyone is a big fan of Erling Haaland, considering the fact that his name has been trending since the EPL started.
Antonio Casseno, ex AC Milan player, is of the opinion that Argentinian Striker, Julian Alvarez is a better and much stronger player than much hyped teammate Erling Haaland.
Alvarez transferred to Man city in January, from River plate in a deal worth €15.30m, and already has three goals to his name for Mancity. Haaland just joined Mancity in June from Borrusia Dortmund in a deal worth €54m, and already has 10 goals to his name in six league appearances for Mancity.
According to Antonio, Alvarez, is much stronger than Haaland, although Haaland too is strong, and might end up scoring 90 goals this season, but looking at it based on quality, Alvarez is considered much stronger. And Haaland isn’t all that special.
“For me, Julian Alvarez is much stronger than Haaland. Haaland will score 90 goals, he is very strong, he is a much stronger [Romelu] Lukaku, but Alvarez is more of a player than Haaland, qualitatively he is stronger,” Cassano said.
“Haaland is not special, I see Adriano of Inter in Haaland, he has a bit of [Christian] Vieri’s progression.”
