The Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Aliyu Tilde has revealed that the state government has concluded plans to split up the male and female students in secondary schools in the state.
Tilde had made this known while addressing journalists after the State Executive Council -SEC, meeting in Bauchi on Friday, additionally stating that it would only be concluded when and where it was possible.
According to him, the idea became important to address the prevalent moral decadence among secondary students in the state. Tilde, however, stressed the hope that private schools take a cue from the initiative.
“When possible, perhaps where we have two-day secondary schools within the same area, we’ll allocate one to girls and the other school to boys only.” Tilde had said.
