The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory’s Parents Teachers’ Association, Alhaji Usman Abubakar, has stated that the primary and secondary schools situated in the rural communities in the capital territory are as yet, dangerous for resumption of academic activities.
Abubakar had on Friday, September 16, said that the activities of terrorists and kidnappers in certain rural communities especially the Abaji rural communities, sharing boundaries with neighboring villages in Niger State, were quite worrisome.
The PTA Chairman additionally revealed that they are happy with Abuja’s administration’s directive for schools to resume, further disclosing that the administration should have put in place, precautionary measures in such rural schools.
The FCT administration has been called on to the band with community leaders in organizing local vigilantes to protect the affected rural schools to ensure the resumption of academic activities in those places.
