Rihanna to Headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show

Rihanna to Headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. Barbadian singer-songwriter and businesswoman Rihanna is set to perform at the 2023 Super Bowl. Must be NFL on the brain: Pop icon and entrepreneur Rihanna will perform at next year's Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, the NFL announced Sunday.

Popular, beloved singer and now mum-of-one, Rihanna has confirmed that she will be headlining the 2023 Super Bowl half-time show. The Barbadian singer, age 34, announced the news on Sunday, September 25, when she photo’s a pic of her tattooed arm holding a football.

The post is making it Rihanna’s first social media activity since giving birth to her baby back in May. The NFL had also tweeted the big news with the same snap and the message ‘Let’s GO-#SBLVII’

It should be recalled that the singer turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl, back in 2019.  The superstar had said that she declined the invitation because of the way Colin Kaepernick had been treated.

Mr. Colin, a former San Francisco 49er had refused to stand for the US national anthem at the beginning of games to protest police brutality and racial inequality. After he became a free agent, no teams agreed to sign him. This led to the quarterback suing the NFL in November 2017, accusing team owners of colluding to not hiring him.
