World legendary Argentinian professional footballer, Lionel Messi has said that Mexico is no stranger to them. Argentina shares Group C alongside Mexico, Poland, and Saudi Arabia. Argentina is to face Mexico on the 26 of November at Lusail’s iconic stadium in the world cup tournament this year.

Messi speaking in an interview ahead of the world cup games has said that it is very essential for them to approach every game with a winning mentality.

He also added that Mexico their long-time rival, is very skillful when it comes to soccer, but they are no strangers to them, as they’ve had several encounters in the world cup games, and they are aware of their capacity.

Speaking on their level of preparedness, Messi has said that they have a very strong squad, although the world cup might be seen as difficult and unpredictable they’ve built a team, which possesses a winning mindset.

“It is very important to start with a win,” Messi said.

“Then comes Mexico, a great rival that plays soccer very well. We have already faced them in several World Cups and we know that they play very well, but we don’t think more than that, we have to go game by game.

‘I think we have put together a nice team, very strong and we know how to play every game. The biggest difference is having the luck to win Copa America. The World Cup is very difficult, the small teams can leave you out of the tournament, but this team is here to compete and beat anyone.”

The seven times Balon D’or winner has 88 goals to his name in 168 appearances for Argentina.
