Erik Ten Hag, United manager has said that there’s still a lot of work to be done on his team and that his players will have to put more intensity in their games after they struggled to defeat Omonia Nicosia in their 3-2 win on Thursday night in the Europa League, Goals from Marcus Rashford and Martial gave United Victory over the match.
Things seemed to be working out fine for united, after they won four of their matches, including that against Liverpool and Arsenal in the EPL. However, Man City thrashed their confidence hands down, after a humiliating 6-3 defeat by City.
Manchester United are to face Everton this weekend, Erik Ten Hag on speaking about the strength of his team in the pre-match press conference, admitted that they aren’t that good, and it took the defeat from Man City to realize that there’s still so much to do the team.
He further said that his players would have to intensify their efforts in games, and that lack of intensity from his players contributed to their humiliating loss on Sunday

“You have seen (against Manchester City) and we have to do much. I think the main problem that we did before in games much better, is intensity.”
“We have to bring the intensity in every game on the pitch. That was the big difference between City and us. So, that is a demand for our squad and all our players. They have to take responsibility for that.”
