Pep Guardiola, Man manager has said that it is quite unfortunate that City’s sensational Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland will not participate in the World Cup due to Norway’s inability to secure a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The world cup is just around the corner, and not all of Pep’s squad are going to the World Cup, so he has disclosed the plans he has for those that will remain.
According to him, he’s going to give them two weeks’ holiday, for everyone to go spend time with their families. Then after the world cup, he’ll give them another two weeks holiday for them to rejuvenate their energy.
He also added that, even though Haaland would have loved to participate in the world cup tournament, he can’t, since Norway didn’t qualify, however, he can channel his energy into other competitions for the club
“Maybe for ten days or two weeks we will go off and be with family then come back.”
“Then two weeks to reignite our rhythms after the World Cup.
“Erling would prefer to go to the World Cup with Norway but unfortunately he cannot go. But two years there’s the Euros and now he can focus on his club,” Guardiola said.
