Popular Nigerian gospel artist, Sammie Okopso’s Funeral arrangements are out, a tribute night will be held for him on Dec 13, the service of songs will follow suit on Dec 14, and he’ll be finally laid to rest on Dec 15 which is said to be private ( that is it is to be attended by family members and close associates).
If we can recall, the singer died on November 25, at age 51. Initially, rumors had it that he slumped in his house at Lekki, and was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctor at the hospital. However, Hillary Vincent, Okopso’s manager debunked the rumors that he slumped and died, according to Vincent, Okposo died in his sleep, and his family will address the issue at an appropriate time.
Sammie Okposo had continually blessed us with his songs, especially his debut album in 2002 titled ‘unconditional love. It’s so sad to see that he has passed on, may his departed soul rest in peace.
