A commercial truck laden with cement has crushed three persons to death and injured two others in the same vein on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State.
The accident happened on Tuesday evening around Toll Gate, Ota, on the highway.
The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun Sector command, Florence Okpe, has confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta, on Wednesday, March 15.
Okpe had said that according to reports, the truck, which was loaded with cement, had rammed into a shop, killing three persons on the spot and injuring two.
“The dead victims had either been traders or passengers waiting for vehicles at the bus stop.”
Meanwhile, the injured victims have been taken to the General Hospital, Ota, for medical attention, while the corpses were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
