NLC To Embark On Nationwide Strike June 7
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has just announced a nationwide strike, to begin from next Wednesday, June 7.

This strike is coming amidst fuel shortages across the country caused by President Bola Tinubu’s inaugural speech in which he declared that fuel subsidy in the country was gone.

NLC President Joe Ajaero had made the announcement after the union had held a National Executive Council, NEC, emergency meeting in FCT, Abuja.

He said the government, especially the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd, had up until Wednesday, July 7, to revert to the old price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) ie petrol.

Additionally, Ajaero warned that the failure of the Federal Government to meet the terms of the union would attract an indefinite protest Nationwide.
