A female officer of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, simply identified as George, had allegedly been found dead in her Lagos apartment.
Ayodele Famuyiwa, the NAF director of public relations and information, had confirmed the incident to newsmen on Sunday, June 11 but he had however, conceded that he had no full details to it.
The female officer had, until her passing, served as a master warrant officer at 651 base service group in Lagos State.
It was learnt that the deceased was found unresponsive at her residence in Sam Ethnan air force base in Ikeja after having reportedly hung herself in her room at about 2 pm on Saturday.
An investigation to determine the cause of her death has begun as at the time of writing this report.
