Oslo’s main airport has been shut down until at least 1300 GMT dye to heavy snow and wind, according to a report by the national airport operator Avinor on Saturday.
Avinor had said on its website:
“Wet and heavy snow combined with a lot of wind and rain create taxing conditions for both the aircraft and ground crew.”
Travellers should go along with the information they receive from their airlines, Avinor had added.
A spokesperson for Avinor had further remarked that Avinor will make a further assessment by 1300 GMT on whether operations can still be reopened for the day.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has given a yellow warning for strong wind gusts until 1500 GMT and a yellow warning for snowfall until 1600 GMT respectively.
