Pastor Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has urged gospel preachers to be aware of sexual immorality because many mistakenly believe that their ‘anointing’ will help them resist temptation.
He noted that no amount of anointing can resist sexual desire and that, in spite of his age, he now runs faster than ever to resist any kind of temptation.
He made this statement during one of his sermons at the recently concluded RCCG Americas 1 Ministers & Workers Conference, which had the subject “The Glory Ahead” and included the North, Central, and Caribbean.
During the preaching posted on his YouTube page, he mentioned that Samson, an Israeli judge, became sexually immoral even though he was anointed.

“Someone asks, at your age, why are you still running. I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finish line, the more attentive you need to be.
“Some of you can ask, ‘Daddy, what are you saying, are you still running?'” I run quickly.
“With all your anointing?” Does anointing convert your body into stone? Samson was anointed.He single-handedly murdered a thousand soldiers. A woman completed him.
“I hope the boys are listening.”You can ask, “Is anyone still interested in an 82-year-old man?”
“She isn’t interested in you, but in putting an end to all the wonderful things God has accomplished through you.
“You see that woman smiling at you everywhere you go; she is there smiling, but she is not your wife; run.
“And you girls, when you see a boy smile at you and ask, ‘Where have you been all my life? It appears that the sun has just come out. “He is calling you Sunshine.
“ By the time he’s done with you, you won’t know the difference between sunshine and dusk. You may laugh, but remember my words.
“I warn my kids, especially the lads. I said that if the devil comes after you, tell him to go away, but if you see a female smiling at you strangely, run because you can’t win the war. “Didn’t you read somewhere that a man committed an offence about 42 years ago and now his ministry is over?
“Anyone who tells you that anything you do is hidden will keep it hidden until the wind blows.
“The Bible says to flee young lust. It did not require you to say that grace was adequate. There is no grace for what God says you should flee from.”Maybe grace to run,” Pastor Adeboye said.
