Globally recognised American superstar, Beyoncé has sanctioned Kamala Harris’ use of her song, ‘Freedom’ for her campaign’s official tune.
A source close to the new presidential candidate, Harris had told CNN that “Beyoncé, who is known for maintaining strict clearance guidelines around her music, gave immediate approval to Harris’ campaign when they sought permission to use “Freedom” on Monday — just hours before she walked out to the song.”
Recall that President Joe Biden stepped down from being the flag bearer of the Democratic Party in the 2024 presidential election on Sunday, July 21.
His retreat had come amid increasing pressure from his Democratic colleagues on Capitol Hill, top donors and Hollywood stars after his calamitous debate performance last month.
