The final bearer of the Olympic flame before the start of the Paris 2024 opening ceremony will be none other than legendary American rapper-cum-actor Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., famously known as Snoop Dogg.
The event is planned for the 26th of July, 2024 and the plans include the participation of over 10000 athletes in boats along the Seine River. In addition, Snoop Dogg was assigned to carry the torch before the start of the ceremony through a suburb of Paris called Saint-Denis.
This news was confirmed by the mayor of the city of Saint-Denis Mathieu Hanotin, on his official X account. Celebrating with Snoop Dogg are French rap icon MC Solaar and former Miss World and French supermodel Laetitia Casta.
These different torchbearers represent the International and Cultural aspect of the Olympics thereby paving way for a memorable unity for the event.
