Again, in a twist of event, 24 housemates are at the risk of being evicted after Team Beta won this week’s nomination challenge. Tjay and Ben emerged victorious as they were able to get into the house after challenging the other contestants in a dramatic arena game. This is seen as a turning point in the event as the competition continues to intensify.
In the challenge, each housemate was supposed to pick ping pong balls by balancing across bins from a bin containing the balls to another bin which was empty. Optimistically, Team Beta succeeded with the achievement of seven balls and got the highest score among other pairs. Victory for them ensured not only the safety of its members but also immunity for the Ndi Nne, previously appointed as the first house keepers.
But in an unexpected turn of events, for the first time ever, the Mbadiwe Twins, who are the first ever Heads of House (HoH), will be deprived of the normal perks that come with the position. Biggie announced a new rule: The HoH will not have immunity power to keep them from evction anymore, they also will not have the veto power to save and replace nominated fellow housemates. This has made the game a little more interesting in a surprising way because now, the Mbadiwe Twins can also be eliminated like the other contestants.
The pairs up for possible eviction this week are:
- Aces (Topher and Sooj)
- Doublekay (Kassia and Kellyrae)
- Floruish (DJ Flo and Rhuthee)
- Chekas (Chizoba and Onyeka)
- Mbadiwe Twins (Ozee and Ocee)
- Radicals (Fairme David and Michky)
- Nelita (Anita and Queen Nelly)
- Shatoria (Shaun and Victoria)
- Tami (Damilola and Toyosi)
- Streeze (Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh)
- Wanni X Handi (Wanni and Handi)
- Zinwe (Chinwe and Zion)
The new eviction rules have been trending on social media, and the fans and contestants have been discussing the changes. HoH immunity has now been eliminated from the game starting this season as opposed to previous seasons where the position was so powerful. As for the current season, the contestants suddenly find themselves in a new unfriendly territory where their hierarchies, networks, and plans are daily challenged.
Looking at the eviction stakes, the viewers also are anxious to know how the housemates are going to deal with the result. Now, What this means, is that the destiny of the housemates is in the hands of the viewers, who will soon decide who remains in the house, and who leaves.
