After his accident, Victony has been vocal about his progress of healing through the media and most recently through an interaction at the Afroland festival. The singer, who has been in a rather bad situation for a long time since his car accident, shared more about what he has endured and how he is getting better.
He said that he has had four surgeries in his lifetime and that he still needs to have another surgery. Nonetheless, Victony has proved to be very strong and determined in the face of these challenges. It was quite moving to see how he nearly could not walk and then dance with such enthusiasm on stage.
Sharing details about his medical process, he said:
“Honestly, I am blessed and the whole world can see that I’m blessed. I’m still in the recovery phase but I’m still able to do this now; I’m about to go on tour”
“Thinking about last year, even up until recently, I’ve done four surgeries and after the tour, I’m still going to do one more. But it’s still a blessing, you know? Going to the hospital and seeing other people there but I go in and out and do my thing. I take pain relievers before I go on stage and I still record. I feel blessed and I thank God for his grace; it’s not by power. I’m not his favourite child so I don’t know why he’s blessing me.”
Following his recovery, Victony remains a symbol of the ability to overcome the difficulties and the desire to survive.
