Davido’s recent popular wedding song ‘Ogechi Remix’ has been pulled out from YouTube. The song which received massive acceptance when it was performed at the traditional wedding of Davido and Chioma on 25th June 2024, was released as a music video on 19th July 2024.
Featuring BoyPee, Brown Joel, and Hyce, it received a lot of attention and, unfortunately, the video was taken down by YouTube over copyright issues. Notably, the audio is still accessible on the BoyPee’s official YouTube channel. It is also important to highlight that YouTube does not have Davido as the official artist for this song.
Recently, a video has been published, in which another singer claimed that the track ‘Ogechi’ did not originate from the producer’s creation, but was actually made by a different performer before the remix was produced. It has also raised discussion concerns within fans as well as the music community, primarily relating to issues of copyright and artist recognition.
