Azman Air, a Nigerian airline has suspended all operations, with a directive for its staff members to embark on a compulsory leave break without pay.
The Public Relations Officer for Azman Air, Nurudeen Aliyu, had confirmed this news to Leadership newspapers on Monday.
According to Aliyu, this was coming at a time when all their aircraft were on maintenance.
He also added that the airline’s domestic operation and staff members were expected to resume sometime in October 2024.

Aliyu had said,
“Two of our aircrafts are in maintenance and 3 are due for C-check and that’s why we suspended our domestic operation. Our aircraft will be back in October.“The overhead is heavy so the management decided to put the company on hold,” he finshed.
However, in a circular signed by the airline’s Human Resources Manager, Magaji Mohammed Misau, and dated 3rd August, 2023, only eight senior staff were excused from the compulsory leave order.
The circular titled ‘Placement Of Leave Without Pay,’ read,
“As you are aware our domestic operations have been put on hold for a while, due to the conveyance of our Aircraft for C-Checks and the MROS’ has given a longer time of completion write and communicate its decision that all staff has been placed on Leave Without Pay with effect from 1” August, 2023″.
