Nollywood actress Funke Akindele Bello has come out to warn her fans and the general public, of an imposter who claims to be her and is after the pockets of unsuspecting victims. The actress posted a screenshot to show how the scammer works using her name and picture to defraud people and ask for money.
In one of the Whatsapp conversations that Funke provided, Prosper, the scammer, asked for N200,000 loan from a victim with a promise to repay it the following day.
Reacting to the fraudulent act, Funke issued a stern warning to her fans, urging them to be cautious. She wrote, “Pls beware!!! This is not from me!! Prosper!!! E no go prosper for you o!!! Ole!!!” The actress also advised the public to avoid falling for such scams, emphasizing the importance of vigilance.
