Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, is confident that the team will look to come out strong against the Black Queens of Ghana in the first round of their AWCON’ 22 qualifiers next month.
The performance of the Nigeria women’s football team has been under scrutiny following a mundane performance at the just concluded Aisha Buhari Women’s Tournament which saw the team lost 4-2 to South Africa in the final.
The Paris FC shot stopper strongly believes that the team will adjust and bounce back to perform better when they face off against Ghana on October 18.
Speaking to reporters after her team’s defeat at the hands of PSG Féminine, the 20 year old goalie disclosed:
“We have all spoken among ourselves after the defeat to South Africa at the Aisha Buhari Cup, we just have to go all out against Ghana next month and do everything possible to win the game.”
Nine-time African champions will begin their bid to be African champions again, and if they should defeat the Black Queens, they will be up against the winner between Niger and Ivory Coast to fight for a place the tournament due to start from June 2 to 23 next year in Morocco.
