What happens if Saraki is unable to secure the PDP presidential nomination?

Senator Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, is said to be pursuing a presidential bid in 2023 on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform. Saraki, on the other hand, may not be favored to receive the PDP’s presidential ticket due to the party’s zoning structure.

The Party’s leaders have made the Presidential ticket available to any Presidential aspirant who may be interested in running for President under the Party’s Platform, regardless of whatever area or geopolitical zone they may belong to.

If Senator Bukola Saraki is unable to become the PDP’s Presidential Candidate, he can pursue other opportunities. Saraki may contest for the position of Senator to represent his Senatorial district.

It should be recalled that Saraki was the Senate President at the time of the 8th National Assembly, and he was able to perform well as the Senate President. Saraki needs the votes of the Kwara Central Senatorial district alone to become Senator of the Kwara Central Senatorial district, and he may not find it difficult to maneuver his way to emerge as Senate President.

Saraki at his time as Sentate president

Saraki just needs the votes of the Kwara Central Senatorial District to become Senator of Kwara Central Senatorial District, and he should have no trouble maneuvering his way to Senate President.

If the PDP wins the presidential election in 2023, another possible position for Senator Bukola Saraki is a Ministerial Appointment. Saraki might be named Minister of Health. Saraki is a medical doctor by profession, which explains why.

From 1988 to 1989, Saraki worked as a medical officer at Rush Green Hospital in Essex. From 1990 until 2000, he was a director of Societe Generale Bank (Nig) Ltd. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo also once named him as Special Assistant on Budget.

This indicates that if Saraki is appointed to the position of Health Minister, he would perform admirably. The only stipulation is that the PDP must win the presidential election in 2023 before Saraki may become Minister of Health. Saraki will put his medical training to good use in the Ministry’s growth.
