Commitment to Workers’ Rights and Welfare

Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to enhancing workers’ rights and well-being has been a central aspect of his administration’s policies. The new minimum wage aligns with his longstanding dedication to promoting and protecting workers’ rights, advocating for improved welfare, and supporting the needs of the poor and vulnerable.

Free Transportation Scheme for Civil Servants

In addition to the wage increase, the state government plans to introduce a Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants. As part of this initiative, 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses will be deployed to provide transportation for civil servants commuting to and from work. This measure aims to alleviate the financial burden on workers, improve their quality of life, and boost productivity.

Management and Oversight

To ensure the effective operation of the Free Transportation Scheme, a Joint Management Committee will be established. This committee will include representatives from organized labor groups, such as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), as well as officials from the Kaduna State government.

Kaduna’s Commitment to Social Welfare

The Kaduna State government has reaffirmed its dedication to enacting policies that provide relief to the less privileged. Governor Sani emphasized that these initiatives are part of a broader vision to make Kaduna a model for social welfare interventions across Nigeria.

With ongoing support from its citizens, the government is determined to transform lives and set a standard in social welfare policies.
