The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to 114 protesters, including minors, to be released on bail. These protesters are accused of damaging public buildings during the End Bad Governance protests. Judge Obiora Egwatu set the bail amount at N10 million for each person, which adds up to N1.14 billion in total, with two sureties in like sum.

The defendants, aged 14-30, face charges of conspiracy, terrorism, and incitement against the government. They are said to have worked with a British man named Andrew Martin Wynne to cause trouble in Nigeria and scare President Bola Tinubu.

During the arraignment, the prosecution decided not to press charges against four of the protesters because they were sick. Judge Egwatu removed their names from the case and allowed the rest to be released on bail, considering their young age and the fact that the prosecution did not object.

The court ordered that the adults be kept at Kuje Correctional Service and the minors at the Borstal Home of the Correctional Service. The case was adjourned to January 24, 2025.
