Jake Paul Convinced He Will Knock Out Mike Tyson: “Somebody is Getting Put to Sleep”

In what he foresees as a very heated battle, Jake Paul is scheduled to take on boxing legend Mike Tyson in an eight-round fight this Friday in Arlington, Texas. Paul, 27, was confident to predict a knockout, saying he wanted the “old savage Mike” in the ring, wanting no excuses when he wins.

An unusually calm and for the most part unresponsive Tyson, 58, who is fighting professionally for the first time since 2005, pledged only that he was not going to lose. The bout was postponed from July after a health issue for Tyson.

Paul donned an ear cover encrusted with diamonds-a winking reference to Tyson’s 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield.

Their bout next Sunday will be an eight-round match-up, with both fighters wearing 14-ounce gloves to minimize impact rather than the standard 10-ounce gloves. The highly polarizing event amongst the boxing community will be live-streamed via Netflix.
