Fashions AFCON 2027 is set to help Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania invest money in their stadiums, transport, public amenities and the tourism sector of East Africa in preparation for hosting in 2027.

This event will be hosted for the first time in East Africa. The hosting will leave behind the greatest sporting facilities in the region, after spending millions on the event infrastructure alone.

Kenya will renovate Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Kenya’s capital, with more stadiums in the pipeline at Talanta Sports City.

Tanzania is improving its own at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium with extra security, broadcasting services, Spectator and access facilities for the disabled. The infrastructure investment for Uganda will cost over $608 million on Stadiums, roads, and airports.

The government is planning to complete the project early so they could invite the Confederation of African Football(CAF) to do its assessments of the tournament. For the three countries to create ease in the transportation of tourists & supporters for the event, they are planning together on offering a Pamoja Visa and temporary visa waivers.

This project will not only promote the region’s trade & tourism but also regional integration, even though politicians would also want more spending on the public to be transparent to everyone.
