Akeredolu’s commissioner resigns, just after redeployment

One of the redeployed commissioners, Yetunde Adeyanju, submitted her letter of resignation a short time after Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, reorganized his cabinet.

Adeyanju was moved from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development as part of the cabinet reorganization that took place on Wednesday. Adeyanju stated in her letter of resignation to the governor that she was leaving politics because it was her conviction to do so.

“My decision is predicated on a personal conviction to explore other endeavors outside politics for now.”

She added that she was appreciative of the wonderful chance given to her to contribute to the development of the state, particularly with the Kamomi Aketi Rural Water Supply. “You gave me the platform and I’m proud that I used it well for the good of humanity. Kamomi AKETI water scheme remains the joy of thousands of rural dwellers today. Once again, I thank you for the opportunity to serve. ”
