Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has disclosed that she holds American citizenship and has never faced visa denial in all her years of traveling abroad.

In a recent Instagram story, Okorie reflected on her global travel experiences, revealing that although she frequently visits the United States, she has no plans to relocate there permanently.

The actress noted that she has been traveling to the U.S. for over 12 years, often using her Nigerian passport to explore various countries. Despite the limitations that come with carrying a Nigerian passport, she said her extensive travel history has allowed her to avoid unnecessary questioning at immigration checkpoints.

Sharing a personal anecdote, Okorie said, “If I tell you I’ve never been denied a visa, would you believe me? I love having American citizenship, but my issue is whether I’ll ever agree to stay there permanently.”

She went on to express pride in using her Nigerian passport, despite the challenges that sometimes accompany it. “I enjoy the freedom of entering any country I choose, but once they see the Nigerian passport, the next thing is usually, ‘step aside,’” she wrote.

Okorie also encouraged her followers not to feel discouraged about their travel dreams.

She reminded them that everyone’s journey is different and urged them to remain patient and consistent. “Some of you are just starting your travel journey. There are still people ahead of me too. Take it easy—you’ll get there,” she advised.
