Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, may have just adopted Godswill Akpabio, an ex-Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, as the President of the Senate in the coming 10th National Assembly.
Additionally, APC and its top party members have also endorsed a member of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, to be the Speaker of the 10th House. This news was given according to an anonymous source who was at the closed-door meeting at the Defence House on Friday, May 5.
Meanwhile, the positions of the Deputy President of the Senate and the Deputy Speaker are yet to be decided, meaning that these positions would most likely be contested by aspirants.
