The APC Kebbi Chairman says ADC not relevant in state politics, dismissing its influence as minor and driven by “immature youths.” Abubakar Kana made this statement during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of fertiliser and other farm inputs by the member representing Bagudu/Suru Federal Constituency in Kaoje, Bagudu Local Government Area.
Kana said the All Progressives Congress remains the dominant political force in Kebbi, pointing to what he described as the governor’s excellent performance in his two years in office. He insisted that the newly formed African Democratic Congress poses no serious challenge to the APC in the state.
APC Kebbi Chairman Says ADC Not Relevant in State Politics
Speaking further, the APC Kebbi Chairman says ADC not relevant in state politics because it is being promoted mainly by a few young people without strong political structures. He said, “Only a few immature youths are promoting the ADC as if it were a child’s play.”
While dismissing the ADC, Kana turned his attention to APC members holding key positions in government. He accused some of neglecting their communities despite benefiting from the party’s government. “I am aware many have benefited from this government, yet they are unable to assist their people,” he said.
Kana criticised the habit of some officials who, according to him, have moved to the state capital to avoid supporting their constituents. “If you receive one million naira, you can spend at least three hundred thousand to support your people; that small gesture can go a long way in reshaping our political structure,” he added.

He said the party might be forced to advise the governor to remove officeholders who fail to help their people. Kana stressed that community support is essential if the APC wants to maintain its dominance in Kebbi.
