According to reports, Arsenal has confirmed it has banned 24 supporters for abusive and discriminatory behavior during the 2023/24 season. The club announced the sanctions in a statement on their website ahead of their Premier League opener against Wolves on Saturday.

A statement declared that 21 fans were banned for abusive behavior in the stadium, and three members received bans for online abuse. The bans vary from one to three years, which forbids attendance at any Arsenal game during that period either home or away.

The following is a demarcation of the in-stadium offenses:

  1. – Assault: 10
  2. – Tragedy chanting: 5
  3. – Offensive gestures: 2
  4. – Racism: 2
  5. – Homophobia: 1
  6. – Sexual assault: 1 ban

The breakdown for the online ones is as follows:

  1. Racism: 1 ban
  2. Antisemitism: 1 ban
  3. Sending abusive messages: 1 ban

This firm stance of Arsenal drives home the commitment to cleansing their football community of abusive and bigoted behavior. The club has, therefore, insisted that actions like those will not be condoned and will still come with strict consequences. These actions are part of Arsenal’s larger efforts in ensuring the safest and most inclusive environment for all fans.
