Arsenal had a close call but managed to beat Mansfield Town 2–1 on Saturday. This win puts them into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and keeps their chance of a historic quadruple alive.
Manager Mikel Arteta switched up the team with nine changes from the squad that beat Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this week, but the Gunners still managed to get the better of the League One team.
Noni Madueke put Arsenal ahead in the 41st minute with a curling shot using his left foot. Gabriel Martinelli set him up after Mansfield goalkeeper Liam Roberts saved an earlier attempt.

The hosts got back into the game early in the second half when substitute Will Evans took advantage of a careless pass from 16-year-old debutant Marli Salmon and scored to level things up against goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arsenal took the lead again in the 66th minute when substitute Eberechi Eze scored with a shot from just outside the box. Teenager Max Dowman made history by becoming Arsenal’s youngest-ever FA Cup player at just 16 years and 66 days old.
Arsenal managed to hold off Mansfield’s late push and moved forward as they keep chasing trophies this season in different competitions.
