Nigerian singer Ololade Ahmed popularly known as Asake, engaged his fan base in a question and answer session on Instagram where he disclosed how Wizkid approached him with desire to collaborate on ‘MMS.’
Asake further went on to say that when ‘MMS’ was recorded, he originally planned to feature someone else, but when his producer, P. Prime played a part of the song to Wizkid, the star said he wanted to be part of the song.
The partnership proved to be a great success on a large scale. MMS,’ out as part of Asake’s third studio album entitled Lungu Boy released on Friday, set a record for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria with 870,000 streams. The earlier record was set by Wizkid on the song ‘IDK,’ which features Zlatan Ibile and it had 626,000 streams.
